Willis C. “Bill” Dine age 86 passed away Monday, November 28, 2022 in his home following a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born July 10, 1936 in Canton to Willis Dine and Eunice Plumley. He graduated from Middlebranch High School in 1955. Bill served in the Army from 1959-1961 and was recalled for the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962. He was one of the drivers for the Presidential Inauguration of John F. Kennedy. Bill was employed by Fisher Foods (Cherry Store location) from which he retired after 35 years. After his retirement, he worked at the Minerva Public Library as a janitor. He lived most of his life in Paris, Ohio where he enjoyed raising beef cattle. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus of Alliance.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Huckles, brother, Richard Dine, half-brother, Dwaine Dine and his son, Jeffery A Dine.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara (Baechel). They eloped to Indiana and was married on September 21, 1957 but kept it a secret for 6 months. Also surviving is his son, William (Debbie) Dine and daughter-in-law Kelly Dine (Jeff), Grandchildren: Erin (Ryan) Munas, Benjamin Dine, Emily (Thomas Preputnik) Dine, Steven Dine, Alex Dine and Aiden Dine and great-grandson, Colton Munas; sisters, Alberta Danner and Nancy (Bob) Schaefer; sister-in-law, Barbara (Richard) Dine and several nephews and nieces.

Calling Hours will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville.
