Rozanne (Gille) Young

June 3, 1934 — December 10, 2021

Rozanne (Gille) Young

Born June 3, 1934, Rozie was led by angels to Heaven’s gate on December 10, 2021.

We know she heard the welcome invitation, “Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” When her pulse became faint a messenger from Glory looked upon her with loving eyes and whispered, “Spirit, come home.”  Rozie joined the singing choir of saints and is now among the multitude of glorified chosen before God’s throne.

Rozie was born in Zanesville Ohio, to parents Jeannette and Dick Gille.  She graduated from Zanesville High School in 1952 and then completed nurses training at Bethesda Hospital.  She was an admired and skilled RN, working at Akron area hospitals and for private physicians. Her earthly reward came when serving others. Rozie had several hobbies which she shared with her husband, Bill.  They created magnificent stained glass and played golf together.  She was artistically talented in many ways, loving to work with her hands, crocheting quilts, sewing and folding book pages into art. Rozie was an avid reader of any novel available and she enjoyed the Florida sunshine.

Rozie recently attended Faith Fellowship Bible Church in Tallmadge.  The family is grateful to Les and Linda Sutherlan who faithfully visited and prayed for our wife and mother.  Rozie accepted Christ as her personal Lord at The Chapel in Akron where she sang alongside her husband in the choir for over 20 years.  Each Sunday, she faithfully met with her dear friends to learn about Jesus in the Fellow Heirs Adult Bible Fellowship class.

Preceded in death by her parents, sister, Carol Brehm (John), brother-in-law, Jim Young and son-in-law, Jay Cox. Rozie is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Bill.  She leaves to cherish her memory loving daughter, Christine Cox, her son, Bill (Karen), grandson, Michael and god-daughter, Katie Gressock. Rozie will be dearly missed by her sister-in law, Georgia Young and close friends, Melanie and Bill Anderson.

The family expresses sincere appreciation for the staff at Mulberry Gardens and Traditions Health Hospice Care. A private burial service was held at Greenlawn Cemetery.  If desired, friends may send memorial contributions to Faith Bible Fellowship Church at 126 W Overdale Dr, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
