I enjoyed taking a little trip with Willard to Dick’s cabin with a load of material for his driveway. He was a good hearted & kind man. Prayers to his family. RIP Dick.
Dick was a special man and a special friend to my Dad (Rod Tarbet) and my uncle (Ray Tarbet). and I would like to think a special friend of mine. I remember the three of them sitting in the cabin in Canada telling stories, some true some maybe not. I would like to think they are back together again telling new stories and catching up since the last time they were all together. I will miss Dick, and I am praying for Irene and the family.
Irene and kids, we were sorry to hear of Dicks passing. I know there are four good friends and fishermen up there telling some great stories.Dick, dad, uncle Jim, and uncle Ray.
I always knew Dick was a good man because 40 years ago my dad told me he was a good man. I have know him for all those years at our little community at the lake. When something needed done Dick was always there and he was one of the hardest workers I ever knew. He was the guy that you asked every question and his mentorship will be greatly missed. He was one of those people you were always happy to see and one of the people you never wanted to disappoint. His passing has sadden me and my sons, who very early in life thought Santa Claus lived in the cabin up the road. We pray for his wife Irene and family and will remember him often.
We are sorry to hear of Dick’s passing.Your family is in our prayers
Irene, we are so sorry to hear of Dick’s passing. Sending prayers for you and your family. Jodi (Tarbet) Jeff and Sydney Woodside
We knew of Dick and Irene as they were my brother Tom’s god-parents.
Though it has been many years since Harrisburg, Ohio, we were neighbors of the Thewes family. Our parents Bernie and Evelyn Heffelbower and us kids visited Irene’s parents and eventually met Dick .. All of our prayers and thoughts are with Irene and the Thewes and Starr families and your children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and extended family. Our deepest sympathy at this difficult time….
