Pamela “Penny” Joy Huppert

February 4, 1955 — September 12, 2020

Navarre

On Saturday, September 12th, 2020, Pamela “Penny” Joy Huppert, loving mother, sister and aunt, passed away at Mercy Hospital following a short battle with Breast Cancer and Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 65. She was born, February 4th, 1955, in Franklin, PA to the late Wallace and Frances Cratty. On August 25th, 1973 she married Joel Huppert. They were later separated but remained good friends.  Penny always had a passion for creating. She was known to crochet, knit, design, sew new clothes and blankets, and many other different types of craftworks. In her younger years, she babysat her nieces, nephews, and friends’ children and later went on to watch over their children as well. She loved fishing, birds, and the great outdoors. She planted flower beds and a garden wherever she could. If she did not have a yard, a potted plant could be seen hanging in her window. Her love of flowers was shared in her membership to The Golden Chain Garden Club, where she helped organize and plan yearly projects and events in the community. She enjoyed photography and filled multiple photo albums with pictures of her gardens, flowers, family vacations and trips to the zoo. As a longtime member of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), she shared responsibilities and made long lasting friendships within her local group. In later years, her mobility declined, but she found new friends online that shared her love for games and sharing colorful pictures.

She is survived by her son, Jason (Kerri) Huppert; sister, Carol (Barry) Hiner; brothers, Robert and Richard Cratty; and three nieces and two nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd, from 4pm to 6pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville, Ohio. Those attending the services are asked to please wear a proper protective mask and practice safe distancing requirements.
