
Mary M. Schockling, age 89, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Saturday January 22nd, 2022. She was born June 22nd, 1932, in Caldwell, OH, to late Fred and Marcella (Kuhn) Warner. She is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James C. Schockling; her sisters, Regina Duval, Evelyn Gressel, Maxine Besser, Betty Archer, and Grace Williams; her brothers, Fred Warner, and Richard Warner; daughter- in-law, Susan Schockling, and son-in-law, Lance Zorger. She is survived by her children: Philip Schockling, Cathy (Keith) Kilkenny, Carol Zorger, Jennifer (Rick) Shaffer, Chris (Scott Akerman) Schockling, and Lori (Michael) Fomich. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Decker, of Louisville, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is well known to friends and family for her love and commitment to great parties, being an avid care player, and being the best mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 24, 2022, 4-6 pm at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home, 303 South Chapel St., Louisville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 11:00 am at St Louis Catholic Church. 300 North Chapel St., Louisville. Interment St. Louis Cemetery.
A celebration of her life will be held later this summer.
