Mary Alice (Maurer) Hoover

Mary Alice (Maurer) Hoover 92, passed away on April 11, 2023 with her family by her side. She will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary is the daughter of Mello Maurer and Alice (Haren) Maurer.

She was raised on a small farm on the outskirts of Louisville, Ohio. Her memories of those simple times with her siblings, Paul Maurer (deceased), Vernon Maurer (deceased), Walt Maurer (deceased), Margaret Maurer (deceased), Donna Maurer Ungashick (deceased), Lucy Maurer Jones, Irene Maurer Price, and Carl Maurer (deceased), stayed with her throughout her life.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Lee R. Hoover and son-in-law, Theodore “Ted” Lamparty.

Mary is survived by her son, Randy Hoover of Texas (children, Dylan, Alyssa, Ethan); daughter, Judy (Dave) Hoover Swartz (son, David Swartz), Rod Hoover (children, Cory (Andrea), Brock (Kristie) and Blake (Christina); daughter, Lisa Lamparty of Florida; and three great-grandchildren. She enjoyed volleyball, basketball, dodgeball and tennis. She was very involved in her church and her children’s school and activities and worked at Nees Pharmacy and Zwicks, both in Louisville.

Calling hours will be held at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 5:00-7:00pm and Thursday, April 20, 2023 10:00am with a Celebration of Mary’s Life beginning at 12:00 noon and interment to follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
