Mark Thomas Schillig

Born: 08/28/1959 Passed:

Mark Thomas Schillig passed away peacefully May 1, 2021 at the age of 61 in the arms of his sister, Bonnie. He went to be with our Lord and his mom, Veronica who passed away March 11.

Mark graduated from Eastgate school and worked at Cohen Joliet. Mark was often the center of attention and he never knew a stranger. He enjoyed everything about life and was willing to try anything once. He enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, swimming, bowling, listening to music and playing whiffle ball with his family.

Mark could sense when a person was sad or hurting. He always had the ability to turn your frown upside down., He was the core of our family. He was our “Family Glue”!

He was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica. He is survived by his father, Joseph Schillig; sisters, Bonnie (Kathy) Schillig, Peggy (Bill) Ferren, Cathy (Bill) Goshorn, and Anita (Mark) Jackson; brothers, Dan (Dee) Schillig, Dale Schillig, Tony (Brenda) Schillig; nieces and nephews, Eric and Adam Ferren, Brenna and Jenna Dolan, Sierra and Amanda Jackson, Kyley and Hunter Goshorn, Tyler Schillig, Olivia Schillig and Brittany Binion; great nieces and nephews, Brandon, Cody and Sierra Ferren and Marley Clark; godmother, Rita Lewis and godfather, Eugene Young.

God bestowed this man to us, and we delighted in loving him.

A celebration of Mark’s and Veronica’s lives will be held together with a Mass of Christian burial at a future date. Condolences and special memories can be shared with the family online at www.paqueletfalk.com
