  3. Pauline (Polly) Kurtz says:

It is with sadness that I share a memory of my friend Marie. She was in my card club and all of us enjoyed her so much. We play 500 with bidding and earlier in the year she bid what is known as Nello which if made gives you 250 points. I was her partner and feeling brave when my turn came, I bid double nello. If she and I made it, we would have earned 500 points. I was sure in my mind we could do it. But on the first trick we went down. And Marie gave me “the look”. It was funny and I understood. It was all in fun and after that blunder she always would say she hadn’t forgotten it when I would become her partner in future times. She made playing cards fun and could be funny by just using her facial expressions. She was a trusted friend and will be missed not only by me but all her friends. God Bless her and all her family and said many times how good they were to her. Blessings and prayers to all of you at this sad time in your lives. Love from a grateful friend, Polly Kurtz
