Larry G. Williamson of Alliance, Ohio, born on December 23rd, 1947 went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 7th, 2023, at Aultman hospital in Canton, surrounded by many close family members.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Marilyn K. (Flory) Williamson (2020); his beloved son, Todd M. Williamson (1999); mother, Eileen (Ruble) Reed; father, Lawrence Williamson; stepmother, Edith Williamson and many aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.

(Amanda) Williamson; two granddaughters, Madelynn and Alanah; two sisters, Cathy (Wendell) Bettis and Rosemary (Paul) Messenger; stepfather, Richard Reed; two sisters-in-law, Glenda Smith and Carol Rogers; brothers-in-law, Curtis (Althea) Flory and Bill Bench; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Larry often shared stories of his fond childhood memories of growing up in West Virginia with his Ruble grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His Williamson grandparents were not far away, along with their family, being much smaller. His family moved to Alliance, Ohio area where Larry attended and graduated from Marlington High School. After marriage, he and his wife settled in the Deerfield area before moving to Atwater in 1991 (Edinburgh township).
He loved traveling with his family, and through several career choices, he settled on being an owner operator of a small trucking company, where he, his wife, and sons all had some involvement in the business. This career choice allowed him to travel to 48 of the 50 states, until he retired and moved back to the Alliance area.
Shortly before losing his wife Marilyn, during the peak of covid, he was diagnosed with terminal MDS (bone) cancer. After a courageous battle, the spread of this disease is what sent him to his heavenly home. To all who knew him, he was a kind, caring and jovial man, who helped many friends and family along life's way! ❤️
Many of you kept in touch, but a few close family members and friends, Roger Blizzard, Aunt Joann Murner, Doug (Laurie) Brion, Mary Bishop, were among some of the calls he looked forward to receiving. We, as his family, are extremely grateful for all your prayers and support through this difficult journey! 🙏
The family will receive friends Monday, November 13th, 2023 from 5-7pm at Paquelet Falk Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
