Kay Lynn (Mayle) Neff

March 28, 1957 — January 26, 2023

Kay Lynn (Mayle) Neff of Louisville, Ohio passed away January 26th, 2023 at the age of 65. She was born on March 28th, 1957, in Ferndale MI to the late Houston (Doodle) Mayle and Zelma (Jean) Mayle. Kay graduated from Allegany Wesleyan High School. She married her loving, devoted husband, Daniel J. Neff, of Louisville on September 28th, 1985, and they made their home in Louisville. Her joy of cooking led her to her career in Louisville City Schools as a school cook until retiring after 17 years in the same school district where her children grew up.

Kay enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and attending family gatherings over the years. Also, attending her children’s, nieces, and nephews sporting events.  In her later years, she enjoyed sitting outside on her back patio watching her grandchildren play in the garden.  She was an amazing cook with her signature dishes being her dumplings, chicken noodle soup, and mac and cheese.  When you visited Kay, she would be watching her favorite westerns like Bonanza or Tales of Well Fargo.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents Doodle and Jean Mayle; brothers in law Kenny Stipe, Terry Hinkle, Larry Neff, Charles Neff; nephews, Phillip Miller and Russell E. Brandes II,  granddaughter Harper Lynn Kirby; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
