Joseph R Berger

Joseph R. Berger, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024. He was born August 1, 1937 in Harrisburg, Ohio, a son of Frank Berger and Blanche (Monter) Berger. He attended Marlboro School and was self-employed, Joseph R. Berger, Inc. as a masonry contractor. Joe enjoyed sitting outside under the umbrella in the summer and golfing or visiting the American Legion on Fridays. 

Joe adored his family: wife, Marjorie (Midge Beitler) Berger; daughters, Jodi Kish (Steve), Lori Smith and Trisha Berger; sisters, Elaine Miller and Mary Frase (Robert); grandchildren, Cassie and Tyler Smith and Nathan and Nicholas Kish; and his beloved dog, Buddy. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Rita Miller and Theresa Umberger and brother, Francis. 

A mass of Christian burial will be August 30 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Mary Church with Fr. William Kraynak.
