Joanna J. Monnot

Joanna J. Monnot, age 88 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 23rd, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born February 8th, 1930 in Louisville to the late William and Aurelia (Moinet) Wilder. Joanna was a life-long resident of the Louisville community and owned and operated the French Beauty Shoppe for over 20 years. Joanna later worked for the Louisville City Schools as cafeteria monitor and volunteered at St. Joseph’s Care Center. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Joanna is preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean (Wilder) Kress and a brother, William “Bill” Wilder.

Joanna is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 51 years, Albert Monnot of Louisville; a brother, Robert J. (Carole) Wilder of Louisville; sisters-in-law, Gerry Wilder and Patricia Monnot, both of Louisville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated Monday, December 31st, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Louis Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
