Jacob “Jake” Aaron Iden was born on November 8, 1990, and suddenly left this world on October 18, 2021.
Jake was blessed to be raised and endlessly spoiled by his parents, Bette J. and Veryl R. Iden. They joyfully embraced their second parenting opportunity when Jake, their only grandchild, joined them at 18 months of age.
Growing up Jake loved cuddling with Mom, playing games and helping her around the house. Time with Dad was spent in fast and furious go cart races and helping to fix anything and everything they could get their hands on. Jake and Aunt Yvonne would spend endless hours riding horses and playing Laser Tag as Al Capone and Belle Starr. A favorite pastime of Jake’s was to terrorize (described by his parents as “charm”) the patrons of Walker’s Restaurant and Aunt Mabel’s.
Jake’s innate charisma, razor wit, and natural comedic talent charmed and amused everyone he met. His laugh was infectious, and he was extremely loved by family and friends.
Unfortunately, after years of struggling with substance abuse and addiction and the relative recent passing of his parents, he made an irrevocable decision.
Jake will be forever missed by his father, Todd R. Iden, and aunt and uncle, Yvonne (Iden) & Clint Krendick and extended family members.
Special thanks to Keith Arnold for his unwavering friendship to Jake, and Major Troy Watson for his compassion and empathy in the line of duty.
The family will receive visitors 4 pm – 6 pm on Friday, October 22nd, at Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home, 303 S Chapel St, Louisville.
